combined practical support
I know! But hear me out :)
Therapy can sometimes be challenging when someone is also dealing with pressing practical difficulties in their daily life.
My experience of working in Mental Health Outreach Support has given me a strong understanding of the local area and the range of services available. This experience allows me to know who can help with different types of support, and, if it is helpful, I can share that information and support you with referrals alongside our work or upon completion of our sessions, always in line with your choices.
Support may include practical matters such as completing forms (for example Personal Independence Payment applications), assistance with debt or financial difficulties, grants for essential household items, or accessing services that help reduce avoidance or isolation.
It can also include guidance with getting into education, employment, or voluntary work, as well as finding ways to explore hobbies and interests.
Whatever feels helpful for you!
