A safe space. Support is here.
Life can feel really tough sometimes. You might be feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, grieving, or simply not quite yourself. Whatever is going on, having a space where you can talk openly and be truly heard can make all the difference.
I'm a real person before I'm a counsellor, like everyone, I've experienced lifes ups and downs, and I know how powerful it can be to have someone alongside you who genuinely listens without judgement.
My own experiences help me bring warmth, empathy, and understanding to the counselling room, alongside my professional training and skills.
You don't need to have all the answers or even know exactly what's wrong. Together, we can explore what's happening for you, make sense of your thoughts and feelings, and help you find a way forward that feels right for you.
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here. 🤍
This is a safe, supportive space dedicated to your well-being,
Through compassionate care and professional guidance, I'm here to walk alongside you as you find your way through the challenges you face,
Together, we’ll seek to explore and validate your experience, we'll seek to understand more deeply looking at practical strategies that foster personal growth, build resilience, and support lasting, meaningful change.
A Little About Me
Real support from a down-to-earth approach.
I know what it’s like to face challenges that feel overwhelming, the kind that make everyday life harder than it should be. That’s a big part of why I became a counsellor.
Over the years, I’ve learned just how powerful it can be to have someone really listen; not to fix things, but to understand them with you. That’s the space I aim to create at MH Counselling, one that’s calm, supportive, and honest.
My goal isn’t to give you all the answers it’s to help you find your own, at your pace, in your way. Whether you’re experiencing emotional turmoil, in painful grief, feeling stuck, lost, burnt out, or feeling the need to offload, you’re not alone.
Helping people reconnect with themselves, gain clarity, and feel more in control of their lives is something I genuinely care about. It’s why I do what I do.
The Moment That Shaped My Approach
Feeling truly listened to can make such a difference. I know this because it made a difference to me.
During my counselling training and personal therapy, I experienced the value of having a safe space to talk openly, without judgement or pressure. It shaped the kind of counsellor I wanted to be.
Today, I offer a calm, down-to-earth space where you can talk, make sense of things and understand yourself a little better, at your own pace.
I’m a BACP registered counsellor with experience supporting adults, children and young people through challenges including anxiety, ADHD, autism, grief and domestic abuse.
You don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m here when you’re ready.
Professional Directory Listings
Finding the right therapist can be difficult. For added peace of mind, here are my professional listings for your consideration. If I don’t seem like the right fit, these directories are also a helpful place to find other verified professionals.

Person Centred Therapy
What is a Person-Centred Approach?
The person-centred approach is based on the belief that you are the expert in your own life. Rather than giving advice or telling you what to do, I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.
In this approach, you lead the way, and I’m here to walk alongside you listening with empathy, respect, and honesty. Together, we create a trusting relationship that allows you to gain insight, grow in self-awareness, and move toward the changes that feel right for you.
It’s a gentle but powerful way of working, focused on helping you reconnect with yourself and make choices that align with who you are.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
What is CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)?
CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that focuses on how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected.
When we’re feeling low, anxious, or stuck, we can fall into patterns of unhelpful thinking that make things feel even harder. CBT helps you identify and challenge these patterns, so you can respond to situations in healthier, more balanced ways.
In our sessions, we’ll work together to explore how your thoughts are influencing how you feel and behave and develop practical tools and strategies to help you cope more effectively with life’s challenges.
CBT can be especially helpful for:
-
Anxiety and worry
-
Depression or low mood
-
Negative thinking patterns
-
Stress and overwhelm
-
Building confidence and self-belief
Tailored Individual Approach
What is an Integrative Approach?
As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a blend of therapeutic approaches to suit you as an individual because one-size-fits-all just doesn't cut it!
This means I combine elements from approaches like person-centred therapy, CBT, and other models depending on your needs, goals, and preferences. Some people benefit from deeper emotional exploration like understanding how parts of childhood have influenced the person you are today, while others prefer practical tools to manage day-to-day challenges and many will feel the benefits of a mix of both.
At the heart of integrative counselling is flexibility and a strong, trusting relationship. We’ll work together to find what feels right and helpful for you, adapting as we go.
